Awesome Resource!

I know firsthand that one of the hardest hurdles to overcome when thinking about adopting is the financial aspect of the process. Adoptions can range drastically in cost due to circumstantial issues – medical care, legal issues, etc. I just finished the book, “Adopt Without Debt,” and my goodness do I wish I had read it five years ago before we adopted our first!! The book talks about ways to find extra money in your household budget, a TON of creative financing ideas and stories of more than 30 adoptive families and how they adopted without debt. I highly, highly recommend it! 🙂
There is a link to the author’s website HERE and you can also buy the book there, too, if interested!

Ahhh, Tax Time:)

One of the best resources financially for us as adoptive parents is the Adoption Tax Credit. I’ve found personally, and I know lots of you have, too, that the IRS is very specific on what they want from you and that they tend to audit those of us applying for the tax credit, so it’s important to do those taxes carefully!! A great link was posted on our main CAC page, and I wanted to share it here, as well. It’s an article called Top Ten Tips for Avoiding Delays When Filing for the Adoption Tax Credit, and it’s an awesome resource. I’ll link it HERE.
